Challenges
For Techint E&C, the impacts of switching to edison365 were both immediate and noticeable. Unfortunately, many SharePoint-based systems are rigid and cannot fully meet the innovation needs of teams. Especially those as ambitious as Techint E&Cโs!
To get the ball rolling, Techint E&C was introduced to our onboarding expert Poppy Barber (keep reading for our short Q&A with Poppy on this story. ๐) This was a partnership that drove the company in the right direction quickly and efficiently.
โWe introduced Techint E&Cโs stakeholders to the platform, built the app in line with their requirements, and developed tailored Power BI reports. Then we trained them intensively on how to manage everything themselves.โ
This support proved pivotal in helping Techint E&C streamline and scale its innovation efforts. Although innovative ideas already existed throughout the company, they often remained confined within individual teams or departments. The support provided helped break down these silos, giving greater visibility to innovation initiatives across the organization. What were Techintโs key challenges?ย
โTechint E&C needed a way to bring structure to their ideas. They had plenty of opportunities and ways to improve their business, but the tools they were using to capture and action new ideas werenโt scalable to how they work.
With the experience we have as a team, we were able to build their environment in a way that matched their needs; in a way that drove value, idea to idea.โ
How much time and effort have Techint saved?ย
โThis could easily be up to three weeks of manual effort. Perhaps more? The truth is, we know the system inside out. For someone starting from scratch or using other innovation tools outside of edison365โs environment, this may have taken much longer to implement.โ

Techint E&C is now focused on deepening its use of edison365 and expanding access across the organization to support a wide range of goals and drive the delivery of new ideas.

Notably, the companyโs Diversity & Inclusion team has started using the platform to gather suggestions and communicate initiatives in a more organized and scalable way. By inviting all employees to contribute their ideas, the tool is helping foster greater engagement and inclusion across the business.
Itโs clear that the company wants to embed innovation into its DNA, but they are also thinking outside the box and looking at ways to also embrace the project management tools that exist in edison365. This helps Techint E&C to move from innovation to end-to-end transformation.
