“Partnering with edison365 allowed us to embed that framework into a single, flexible platform that supported both our scale and complexity”
We recently spoke with Francisco Vitoriano, Pipeline Performance Manager at Envu, to learn how the company is using edison365 to unify its global project portfolio and drive long-term impact through smarter, more agile innovation.
Challenges
Robust project portfolio management (PPM) begins with harmonization and clarity — especially for global organizations like Envu, operating in highly regulated industries across more than 100 countries. To deliver on its commitment to advancing healthy environments through innovation and operational excellence, Envu recognized the need to unify and modernize its project and product lifecycle processes.
At the time, the company faced several common challenges:
- Regional silos using different tools and methodologies
- Limited visibility across project pipelines
- Inconsistent data and reporting standards
- Lack of centralized governance for the project lifecycle
“Each region had developed its own processes and tools over time, which made planning cycles particularly complex,” said Francisco Vitoriano, Pipeline Performance Manager at Envu. “To better align with our global strategy and enable smarter decisions, we knew we needed a consistent, scalable system.”
Legacy tools like Excel and SharePoint, once sufficient, could no longer meet the demands of an agile, innovation-focused business. To continue delivering impactful environmental solutions to customers, Envu needed:
- A unified global PPM platform
- End-to-end visibility and traceability
- Better resource allocation and cross-functional collaboration
- Standardized processes across regions
- Scalable implementation support
Solution
Envu saw an opportunity to redesign its global product lifecycle process in parallel with a strategic shift following its divestment from Bayer. The company needed to build a system that reflected its new identity — independent, focused, and built to serve customer needs with greater agility.
“We went through a thoughtful transformation to define a new global PPM framework,” Francisco explains. “Partnering with edison365 allowed us to embed that framework into a single, flexible platform that supported both our scale and complexity.”
Implementing edison365 also helped overcome regional fragmentation. With shared tools, methodologies, and workflows, teams could collaborate more effectively and operate with greater alignment — a critical enabler in Envu mission to deliver consistent, science-first solutions.
“We weren’t just looking for software,” Francisco adds. “We were looking for a strategic partner that could grow with us and support our innovation roadmap.”
Why Choose edison365?
Why it's important to choose the Right Tools ✨
The platform’s ability to bring together portfolio and lifecycle management in a single environment made it the right fit for Envu. It empowered teams to seamlessly move projects from idea to execution, with full visibility along the way.
Equally important was the collaborative onboarding process. With support from edison365’s Customer Success team, Envu accelerated adoption across business units and laid the groundwork for long-term success.
“The implementation support was key,” said Francisco. “It enabled us to make confident progress while staying focused on our goals.”
Results
One of the most significant outcomes was access to real-time reporting through Power BI. What had once been fragmented spreadsheets and disconnected status updates is now a unified dashboard, used regularly by teams to track progress and support decision-making.
“Having access to consistent, real-time insights has fundamentally improved how we prioritize and allocate resources,” Francisco notes. “It gives us the visibility we need to align across global and regional levels.”
With greater transparency and ownership across the pipeline, Envu is now operating with enhanced precision and effectiveness. This transformation aligns with the company’s broader mission: to surround customers with the expertise, reliability, and innovation they need to succeed — and ultimately help protect the environments we all depend on.
Since implementing edison365:
- 300+ projects have been onboarded
- 800+ records (projects, ideas, business cases) are actively tracked
- 95% of the global pipeline is now fully integrated
“This system now captures the vast majority of our global activity,” Francisco says. “It’s become a central part of how we manage innovation and execution.”
With a solid foundation in place, Envu is focused on evolving its project management capabilities even further — refining its reporting, expanding platform use, and continuing to drive operational excellence across all business units.
The company’s commitment to continuous improvement reflects its larger purpose: to innovate with intention, deliver with consistency, and partner closely with customers in building healthier, more sustainable environments. This transformation in how Envu manages its global pipeline is another way it continues to Be a Force With Nature.
